Melotte in Het Belang van Limburg

On 19 August 2008, Melotte welcomed the Belgian Solar Team at its offices. Melotte supplied the housing of the ingenious magnetic CSIRO motor of the Solar Team car. |

For the extremely precise construction of the motor housing it made use of its 8-axis multitask machine. The motor is so small that it is able to to fit inside the rear wheel of the car. This in-wheel configuration requires a very complex shape with precision finishing that only Melotte was able to do.
